Cibo Matto Poster

A new poster is up in the etsy shop! It's a screenprinted gig poster for Cibo Matto's show at Lincoln Hall.

Their music video by Michel Gondry is one of my favorites...

Pride and Prejudice Print

I made this art print for the "Required Reading" Exhibit at 1988 Gallery in Los Angeles. It's a four-color screenprint, signed edition of 50 inspired by Jane Austen's, Pride and Prejudice. Currently it's available for purchase on the gallery's website...

Gnome doodle

This little doodle was the inspiration for the recent birdhouse I built. I like his sassmouth attitude. "Jeff" is one of my studio mates.

"Gnome Sweet Gnome" birdhouse

I designed and built this birdhouse for a benefit for Pritzker Elementary School. The birdhouses will be displayed in various shops around Wicker Park and then auctioned off at the end of the month. For more info, visit...

If you can't tell, it's a gnome! The roof is hinged to the side and flips open for easy cleaning. It's mostly made out of cedar wood and the shingles are maple and the eyebrow is walnut. The studio I share has a great wood shop that I was able to use. Found lots of scraps for the details. One of my studio mates, Kevin Schuhl helped greatly by making the angled cuts on the pieces and giving me construction advice. I painted the shingles in 3 shades of blue, 1-shot paint.
